ROLE
Edititorial design, Grid system
Palette Art Magazine is a conceptual editorial design project created to encourage the discovery and appreciation of contemporary art. The magazine was designed to introduce readers to emerging artists, their creative processes, and different forms of artistic expression through a combination of editorial content and visual storytelling.

The goal
Is to create an engaging editorial experience that encourages readers to discover new artists while providing context behind their work.
Rather than presenting art solely as something visually appealing, Palette aims to help readers understand the ideas, processes, and stories behind the artwork.

Grid system
The layout was designed around a clear visual hierarchy, with imagery acting as the primary entry point for the reader. Artwork and photography were given the most visual weight to capture attention and create curiosity, followed by prominent titles that provide context. Supporting editorial copy was positioned beneath the imagery and headlines to create a natural transition from visual discovery into reading.
This hierarchy (imagery, title then supporting text) was maintained throughout the publication to create consistency while allowing individual spreads to have their own visual rhythm. The grid provided structure and alignment while allowing the artwork to remain the focal point of each page.
